Aside from power consumption and the show of pure blacks, ordinary users will struggle to say the difference in a blind test.
Most people consider the phone's design aesthetics first, then if it has the camera, processor, and battery they need, and finally the screen style. Despite this, it's still a good idea to consider screen style, and if you're choosing between two very similar phones, choose the one with an LED screen.
