The top-of-the-line features reserved for smartphone royalty are packed into each device: blazing-fast processors, brilliant screens, flexible cameras, and long-lasting batteries.

Neither is inexpensive, as one might assume. The Galaxy S21 Ultra costs around $1,200, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max costs $1,099. There isn't a charger included in either packaging.

Meanwhile, the S21 Ultra is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. We haven't put it through the video loop test yet, but Patrick claims it lasted him a day and a half.

Resolution display

The S21 Ultra has the edge in terms of resolution and refreshes rate, even though both phones have premium OLED displays that are beautifully crisp. The S21 Ultra boasts a 120 Hz display with a huge quad-HD+ resolution (3,200x1,440 pixels). The iPhone 12 Pro Max's screen features a resolution of 2,778x1,284 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate, which is the same as the iPhone 11.
